Note: These records evidently do not include the Manitou Island and
Leelanau County. Leelanau County was being organized in 1840,
and was temporarily being administered by Grand Traverse County
possibly explaining this absence of data. 1840 Census data for
the Manitou Islands and Leelanau County has yet to be located.
